TBB Gets Spotlight at Intersolar South America 2024: Heading towards a More Sustainable Future
      Place:São Paulo, Brazil
      Date:2024-09-12

TBB Renewable, a leading provider of complete power solutions, made a significant impact at Intersolar South America 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil, held from August 27 to 29, attracting a steady stream of interested visitors. Notably, TBB introduced its low-voltage and split-phase product line, specifically designed for the South American market, showcasing deep expertise and strong market compatibility.

      Versatile Power Solutions

According to recent studies, in 2019, only 0.54 percent of Latin America's urban population lacked access to electricity, while 7.5 percent of rural residents remained without power. This disparity highlights the ongoing energy access challenges in rural regions. TBB Renewable addresses this issue by offering diverse power solutions centered around transformer-based inverters.

      • Basic ESS Solution (2kVA-36kVA): The TBB RiiO Sun II (LV & SP) all-in-one solar inverter is designed for backup power, off-grid, and hybrid ESS (with the E4 LCD Monitor) applications in homes and small businesses. It offers 300% surge capacity, 4ms transfer time, 2 MPPT trackers, and a smart port for generator input or second AC output. Supporting both AC & DC coupling, it efficiently meets varying power demands day and night.

      • Advanced ESS Solution (3kW-135kW): Compared to the RiiO Sun II, the TBB Tyrann inverter charger offers a wider power output range per unit. With parallel and three-phase operation, the system can reach up to 135kW. It features 0ms transfer speed, flexible AC+DC configurations, two AC inputs/outputs or a smart port, and compatibility with 600V high-voltage solar charge controllers. This makes it ideal for larger homes and small businesses in backup power, off-grid, and hybrid ESS (with the E4 LCD Monitor) applications.

While the majority of the population in this region enjoys relatively stable grid access, however, high electricity price can be another problem. For residential users, TBB’s Ingesola hybrid inverter (split-phase) offers a cost-effective solution.

      • Residential Hybrid ESS (5kW-72kW): TBB’s Ingesola (split-phase) hybrid inverter is ideal for regions with reliable grids but high electricity costs. It integrates seamlessly with new or retrofitted systems to reduce energy bills through solar self-consumption, peak shaving, and time-of-use strategies. Its key features include a smart port for generator input, AC coupling with PV inverters, EV charging, or a second AC output, together with paralleling capability, 10ms transfer speed, and an IP65 rating.

      All-in-one Integrated System

Apart from the versatile power solutions allowing flexible system component configurations, TBB also provides all-in-one plug-and-play systems that integrate the inverter, lithium battery, system monitoring & EMS, and essential accessories into a standalone cabinet.

These systems are tailored to various applications, divided into two main categories: smaller, compact systems for backup power, off-grid, and hybrid ESS in homes and small businesses, and larger, higher-capacity systems suited for mini-grid and C&I ESS applications with robust power output and greater energy storage capability.

      • The TBB Raython RP8 (Split-phase), showcased at the event, is a compact all-in-one integrated system designed for backup power, off-grid, and ESS applications. It combines solar inverters, lithium batteries, power distribution, and a touch screen monitor into one unit. With a power output of up to 8kVA, 20.16kWh battery storage, and the capability to parallel up to 3 units, it also features an IP54 rating for outdoor use.

      • The TBB Raython Q Series, with up to 1MW output power and 4.3MWh battery capacity, is designed for community mini-grid support in rural and remote areas, as well as commercial and industrial ESS applications. These high-voltage integrated systems can retrofit existing PV grid-tie systems into AC coupled systems (the Raython QS series also supports DC Coupling). Most models feature IP55 protection for outdoor use and are equipped with temperature and humidity detection, as well as fire suppression systems for enhanced safety and reliable operation.

      Lithium Battery and More

Lithium batteries and other crucial accessories are also available in TBB to form a complete system. This time, TBB showcased a series of 48V lithium batteries, including PS10 and ES100 II, ranging from 5.04kWh to 10.08kWh. They boast compact and elegant design, capable of achieving higher capacity via parallel operation. System Monitoring & EMS is another highlight of TBB. For instance, TBB's NOVA web & app serves as a platform for real-time remote monitoring and control of all TBB products. This holistic approach ensures quick system configuration and comprehensive support for customers' energy needs.

South America, with its abundant solar, wind, and hydropower resources, is uniquely positioned to harness clean energy for economic growth and strengthen global energy security. TBB Renewable, through its participation in Intersolar South America 2024, reaffirms its commitment to meeting the region's current energy needs while driving a cleaner, more sustainable future. By offering market-specific power solutions, TBB is ready to support South America's energy transition and contribute to long-term environmental and economic progress.
